Makawao 4th of July Rode on Maui

4th of July Makawao Rodeo 2014 

A Maui tradition that brings together the state’s finest paniolo’s (cowboys) for a weekend of bull riding, steer chasing, horse racing and more!

Spectators can get a free sneak peak of the action during qualifying rounds beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday and Friday at Oskie Rice Arena. 

 

Friday the 4th of July @ 7PM

 

The ever-popular Bull Bash will challenge the nerves of the islands’ bravest rough riders.7 p.m. at Oskie Rice Arena. Tickets are $15 and we highly recommend buying Tickets in advance or it will be a long line at the ‘door’.

 

Saturday July 5th

 

Take to the streets for the 59th annual Makawao Paniolo Parade at 9 a.m. (roads close at 8:45 a.m.). The parade runs from the Makawao Veterans Cemetery on Baldwin Ave. to Eddie Tam Memorial Center on Makawao Ave. Please note there will be no street parking; spectators can park at Oskie Rice Arena and take a free shuttle running from 7AM-9AM; returning back to the Rodeo Grounds at 11:30AM

 

The 59th Annual 4th of July Makawao Rodeo 

Kicks off at 1PM at the Oskie Rice Arena in Makawao, on Olinda Road just above the town.  Grand Marshall, Peter Baldwin. Saturday and Sunday 1:00 pm Rodeo $15/adult admission, $10/seniors, $5/under 12
