Ziplines are a fun and exciting adventure tour! Ziplines have been popping up on a lot of mountainous regions, so Maui has their share of Ziplines also, about 8 to be exact. They are fun and exciting for all ages. People as young as 5 years old all the way into their 90’s enjoy this exciting adventure.
Our ziplines on Maui range from 5 lines to 8 lines and take from 2 hours to 4 hours to complete. You just need to pick the best zipline that suits your time and level of excitement.
One of my favorite ziplines is the Piiholo Ziplines. This zipline is located Up Country Maui, near the town of Makawao. Really beautiful country! It is a side by side adventure over canyons and cliffs. They have built 5 different ziplines that start by climbing a ladder up to the aerial platform and then zipping a short distance to get you familiar with the breaking system. The second, third and fourth are longer, and so much fun … but the 5th is the longest zipline on Maui, 2800 feet, over a half a mile long. On some ziplines you reach speeds up to 40 miles an hour. You’ll be hiking in between each zipline while carrying your trolley.
There are a few suspension bridges that are a bit challenging and fun to walk across and spectacular North Shore and Ocean Views. The Crew that takes you on this adventure really makes this zipline extra special, fun and crazy!! They are a hoot!! Piiholo Zipline also has plenty of opportunities for great photos of you zipping!! For a small fee of only $8 per person in your group, the crew will take photos of you!! They’ll give you the website to go and pick the photos you want. So have your smiley face on!
I have been on this zipline a few different times and it is always so much fun. I totally recommend Piiholo zipline for anyone who is looking for a fun adventuresome time on Maui.
