What to Expect at a Hawaiian Lu’au on Christmas
Lots of Fun, food, and drinks!
The Christmas Ka’anapali Hyatt Luau is located on the famous Kaanapali Beach! The Ka’anapali Hyatt Luau “Drums of the Pacific Luau” is one of Maui’s best Hawaiian Hula Shows. Enjoy a large dinner buffet, a Hula show, and free drinks all evening.
Hawaiian Lu’aus on Maui is Oceanfront and at Sunset time. Check-in is between 4:45 PM.
Enjoy an enchanting evening under the stars at our Kaanapali Beach Hawaiian Lu’au. Your evening starts off with a Shell Lei greeting and a Hawaiian Mai Tai. Wander over and see the Polynesian Crafts. There are several cultural craft tables set up. Browse the Hawaiian Tiki’s and Turtles to pretty flowers for the lady’s hair. Men usually enjoy the Warrior collection of warfare instruments.
Be sure and watch the “Imu Ceremony” as they uncover the Puaʻa (Pig) that has been slow roasting in an underground oven all day. This is fun to watch and is a great ‘Photo Op’!

Your Waiter will call you up to the Hawaiian dinner buffet when dinner is served. The all-you-can-eat buffet is overflowing with traditional island specialties and holiday favorites that include Roasted Turkey with Gravy, Chestnut & Portuguese Sausage Stuffing, Whipped Potatoes, Cranberry Relish, Pumpkin & Pecan Pie on Christmas Day.

We recommend trying the local style Haupia (coconut) Pudding, and the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. For you, Chocolate lovers try the yummy Brownies, and everyone should love the fresh Hawaiian fruit platter…
Bar
Your ticket price includes free drinks for cocktail hour and dinner. This the time to try the famous Hawaiian Mai Tai, the Blue Hawaii and the Lava Flow. The Christmas Ka’anapali Hyatt Luau, Drums of the Pacific, does not offer cocktail service during the show if you would like another drink to be sure and order from your waiter before the show starts.
Hula Show
The Christmas Ka’anapali Hyatt Luau – “Drums of the Pacific” Polynesian Hula Show takes you on a journey through the islands of Polynesia and Hawaii. The Hyatt Lu’au features authentic Hula dances and music of the old Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tonga, and Rarotonga. Drums of the Pacific Luau in the hottest Lu’au Show in the Hawaiian Islands… literally, as there can be up to 5 Fire Knife Dancers on stage for the Fire Knife Dance finale! Enjoy authentic songs and dances from throughout Polynesia, including the unforgettable Samoan fire-knife dance!
