Experience a Helicopter trip over the most current Lava Flow. This is a very exciting helicopter flight over the active Volcano, Kilauea. It is a 45 minute tour on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and leaves from the Hilo Airport. See an active Volcano which has been continuously erupting since 1983.
Tour emphasis is on the most current areas of volcanic activity and lava flows. You will also fly over black sand beaches and you will see tropical rain forests and cascading waterfalls while learning about the history and culture of Hawaii.
The towering sea cliffs open into the dramatically deep valleys of the Kohala Mountains. Beautiful waterfalls cascade thousands of feet and remnants of ancient Hawaiian settlements are still visible.
