One of the most fun things to do on the 4th of July is to take a one of the many 4th of July fireworks cruises out to see the Independence day fireworks show from the Ocean! Ocean Cruises are a wonderful way to experience the Independence day fireworks, enjoy a Hawaiian sunset and wonderful food and drinks for the evening. Several of the Hawaii 4th of July Fireworks cruises include Dinner and Dancing!
On Maui there will be several 4th of July cruises departing from Maalaea Harbor, Lahaina Harbor as well as from Kaanapali Beach (those sold out the fastest at a price of $150-170)
Normal prices run $65.00-$299.00 p.p. with the average price of $110-150.00 p.p.
Waikiki/Honolulu on O’ahu has some of the largest fireworks in the state; once again many boats will be departing Waikiki Beach and the Marina for a great Hawaiian 4th of July Fireworks show from the Ocean.
In Kona, Big Island of Hawaii we offer a fun Fireworks Dinner cruise with free Drinks all night and 3D glasses to view the Fireworks show. That’s different and sounds like fun!

This year’s 4th of July Makawao Parade and Rodeo theme is “Celebrate the Paniolo”
Saturday July 5th @ 9AM
Every Year on Maui, Makawao, Maui’s “Paniolo” (Hawaiian Cowboy) town, hosts a 4th of July Weekend Parade and Rodeo to kick off the states largest weekend of Rodeo events.
Hawaiian Paniolo (cowboy) 4th of July Parade; complete with Hawaiian Rodeo Royalty, Beauty Queens, and Pa’u Riders and parade horses draped in fragrant Hawaiian Flower leis. Maui’s Classic Car Club will be in attendance as well as our own Paniolo Cowboys & Cowgirls, wearing traditional Hawaiian Lei’s and flowers; floats with Live bands and more will be at this years Makawao 4th of July Parade this Saturday July 5th.
As the 4th of July is one of Maui’s most popular parades in Hawaii, people will come from all over the Island of Maui to visit what we call “up country”. It will be very difficult to park in Makawao town for the parade, we highly suggests parking at the Oskie Rice Arena Rodeo Grounds and taking the FREE SHUTTLE to the parade. The Maui Parade and Rodeo Shuttle runs from 7:0 0AM to9:00 AM. The Shuttle can then take you back to Rodeo Grounds beginning at 11:30 AM.
Makawao is a small town of working artists, where you can watch glassblowers, wood sculptors and painters. There are lots of unique little stores and galleries to stroll through…
Pop into one of the several restaurants like Polli’s Mexican Cantina or the more health conscious Market Fresh Bistro for an early breakfast or have lunch after the parade and before heading up to the Makawao Rodeo, which will be held at the Oskie Rice Rodeo Grounds.
Makawao is one of our favorite towns to recommend for shopping, there are no mainland chains in Makawao! Makawao also has a glass blowing shop as well as many eclectic shops, galleries and restaurants.
Makawao 4th of July Parade and Rodeo
Begins at 9am ends at around 11-12Noon. Parade starts at lower end of Baldwin Avenue, goes up to Makawao Avenue and ends at Eddie Tam Center.
*the Lahaina 4th of July fireworks show is put on the merchants of Lahaina. Every year they scrape the $ togther to put on the show. Every year they ask for donations all the way until a few weeks before the event! There is always the possibility of not enough $ to put on the fireworks show.
