Whether you want to drive and explore Maui on your own, take a tour or have your own driver; Maui has it all. We do recommend that most visitors rent a car to get the most out of their stay on our Island.

Airport Transportation~

Most Maui Taxi’s are 6 passenger mini-vans with big luggage wells. If you would like to take a Taxi from the airport to your Hotel or Condo we recommend making advance reservations, they will want your flight arrival information & a cell # so that they can track your flight and call you when you land. With Taxi’s and Limos you will be met at the bottom of the Escalaters wiht a sign. Prices run $30-55 for Kihei/Wailea and $65-$100. for Lahaina/kaanapali/Kapalua.

There is 1 Airport Shuttle company: Speedi-Shuttle, the price goes up depending on how many people in your party.

Maui Taxi’s~

On Maui, the best time to call for a taxi cab is when you plan on traveling only short distances, because with the county’s $3(USD) per mile rate, long voyages can get quite expensive. So, if you’re just going from your hotel to a nearby restaurant or beach, calling a cab is an excellent travel option. You may also want to keep in mind that unlike in most major cities, you won’t find any curbside cab service anywhere on Maui, even in busy places like West Maui. If you want to take a taxi be sure you call ahead to make reservations prior to when you want to depart.
